PRIVACY POLICY
HupsFit Coaching ("HupsFit", "we", "us") is operated by Tyler Hupka, registered in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and operating from Victoria, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through hupsfit.com and our connected pages (including forms and funnel pages hosted at links.hupsfit.com and join.hupsfit.com), how we use it, and the choices you have.
We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the Alberta and British Columbia Personal Information Protection Acts (PIPA), and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Information we collect
Information you give us directly:
- Application and contact forms — name, email address, phone number, and the details you share about your goals and situation.
- Free resource opt-ins — name, email address, and (where the form asks) phone number when you download a guide, checklist, or other free tool.
- Coaching onboarding — if you become a client, additional information needed to coach you, such as training history, measurements, progress photos, and health context you choose to share.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and referral source, collected through cookies and the analytics and advertising tools described below.
How we use your information
- To respond to your application or inquiry and assess whether coaching is a fit.
- To deliver the free resources you request.
- To provide and personalize coaching services for clients.
- To send marketing emails and text messages where you have consented (see below).
- To understand how the site is used and improve it, and to measure and improve our advertising.
We never sell your personal information.
Email marketing
Where you have given consent (for example, by opting in for a free resource or applying for coaching), we may send you emails with training content, offers, and updates. In line with CASL, every marketing email identifies who it's from and includes a working unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time and we'll process the request promptly.
Text (SMS) messaging
If you provide your phone number and consent to receive text messages, we may send you SMS related to your inquiry, booked calls, coaching, and occasional marketing. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing anything. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out of SMS.

Phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never sold, shared, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are used only to deliver the messages you signed up for, through our messaging service provider acting on our behalf.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Our site uses, or may use, the following tracking technologies:
- Google Analytics — helps us understand site traffic and usage. Google may set cookies and collect usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel — measures the effectiveness of our ads and may be used to show you relevant ads on Meta platforms. See Meta's Privacy Policy; you can manage ad preferences in your Meta ad settings.
- Embedded YouTube videos — pages with video embeds may set cookies from YouTube/Google when you interact with them.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The site works without them, though some embedded content may not.
Service providers
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf:
- Netlify — hosts the website and stores contact/application form submissions.
- HighLevel (LeadConnector) — our CRM; stores lead and client contact details and powers our email and SMS messaging, forms, and booking pages.
- Google — analytics and search tools as described above.
- Meta — advertising measurement as described above.
These providers are located in or store data in the United States, so your information may be processed outside Canada and be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We use providers that maintain appropriate safeguards for personal information.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, while your application is active, while you're subscribed to our emails, or while you're a client — plus any period required by law. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your rights and choices
Under PIPEDA and provincial privacy law, you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Withdraw consent to marketing (unsubscribe links, STOP by SMS, or just email us).
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to any legal retention requirements.
To exercise any of these, email tyler@hupsfit.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or British Columbia.
Age
Our services and marketing are intended for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from minors; if you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our tools or practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
